The Hunger Games, a thrilling book on life in an unimaginable way. People are forcing others to fight to the death just for ones amusement. People reading this book will be on the edge of their seats when reading about the games and thinking about how this would never happen. But is that true?

Today many shows that you may watch on a regular basis can be life threatening. Man vs. Wild, Swamp People, automobile racing, even something thats been going on for centuries like bull riding. Has it ever crossed your mind how dangerous the things that those reality TV stars are doing to get money? Yes they may not be killing other people but they do risk severe health issues, injuries and possibly death. Steve Irwin was fatally pierced in the chest by a stingray while filming his own documentary at the great barrier reef. This demonstrates the risks people take for stardom.


People enjoy watching others risk there lives because they are in the comfort of their own homes and the action and the mystery of the out come excites and intrigues them. If this is what we have come to do in our day and age imagine what gory things people may do in the future. We are not really that different then the capitol and we will only continue to become more and more like them.
